Rick Kahler
MS, CFP®, CCIM, GAA

Biographical Data
Rick Kahler, MS, CFP, lives in Rapid City, SD with his wife Marcia, daughter London, and son Davin. He began his professional career in 1973 selling and appraising real estate and is still active with Kahler Appraisal Services. In 1981, Rick founded Kahler Financial Group, a firm specializing in fee-only financial planning, the largest planning firm in his six state area. He became South Dakota's first CFP in 1983, and in 1998 was appointed by the South Dakota State Legislature to the South Dakota Investment Council, charged with managing the

state's multi-billion dollar retirement fund.

He is co-author of four revolutionary books on money, financial planning and therapy titled Conscious Finance, The Financial Wisdom of Ebenezer Scrooge, Facilitating Financial Health and Wired For Wealth. His work and research into the psychology of money with Drs. Ted and Brad Klontz was featured in Wynonna Judd's book Coming Home To Myself, NBC's Today Show and The Wall Street Journal, which called their work "an innovative effort that combines experiential therapy with nuts-and-bolts financial planning."

Robert F. Miller

Biographical Data
Rob graduated from South Dakota State University in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics.  He continued his education through a satellite program offered at Ellsworth Air Force Base and obtained his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota in 1996.

Rob’s background and education has established a strong foundation in appraisal, appraisal theory, tax policy, legislative procedures, local

government operations and an intimate understanding of tax exemption, credit and relief programs.
